Federal Member for Scullin
I have today informed ALP members in Scullin, the Prime Minister and my Caucus colleagues that I will not be seeking the Party’s endorsement for the Federal seat of Scullin.
I will complete this parliamentary term and retire at the next Federal election.
After over 26 years as the local member, it is time for me to explore other aspects of life.
I am pleased that I have been able to make this decision at a time of my choosing.
I have been fortunate to work with a wide range of people in Scullin to make a real difference.
I have worked to ensure that the people of Scullin get their fair share of government
It has been a pleasure and an honour to serve my local community and through the
Parliament the people of Australia.
